It’s as easy as drilling a hole in the ice, dropping your line and enjoying a brisk winter day. Spearfishing is another popular way to enjoy a winter day by waiting for that opportunity to catch a giant northern! Even if you don’t get one, the view of life below the ice is fantastic.

Sometimes, the fun is above the ice, skating on the rink. Weather permitting, Prairie Hills Park offers free ice skating from dusk to dawn. There is room for all ages, whether participating in a pick-up hockey game, working on your figure skating routine or simply taking a few laps around the rink with family.
