You’re never very far from quality healthcare in Beulah!

Beulah residents are fortunate to have a series of excellent health care providers. Persons of all ages can find quality clinics, hospitals, doctors and programs that focus on everything from newborn wellness to senior services.

A new remodel of the Coal Country Community Health Center - Beulah Clinic (CCCHC) was completed in 2019, doubling clinic space with 24 exam rooms, two treatment rooms, laboratory services and x-ray technology. The Sakakawea Medical Center (SMC) is a critical access hospital and a 34-bed licensed primary care facility in nearby Hazen that is community-owned, not-for-profit and governed by a volunteer board of directors. Its new $30.5 million facility opened in 2017 with a medical center, health clinic, expanded ER and surgical area, handicap-accessible patient rooms and technology updates. CCCHC and SMC have a management and integrated governance model that encourages communication and transparency between the two agencies while meeting each organization’s programmatic and regulatory requirements.

Mercer County Custer Health provides a range of services to ensure a healthy community through promotion, protection, and prevention. Many resources are available through qualified personnel, such as newborn home breastfeeding, lactation counseling, immunizations and more. The North Dakota Woman’s Way Breast & Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program in Mercer County is administered through Custer Health.

Bismarck, an approximate one-hour drive from Beulah, is home to two of the top three overall hospitals in North Dakota, per U.S. News and World Report.
