Beulah offers a healthy retirement lifestyle!

The secret is out:

Beulah retirees know they do not need to head to southern locales to enjoy their golden years!

Getting value for their money is a concern for persons of all ages, but never more so than those facing retirement. Beulah’s cost of living is about 10% lower than the national average, which means a dollar stretches farther here.

Staying active is a primary concern for retirees, and Beulah has a range of activities for seniors. Spring, summer, and fall open the beautiful parks, rivers, and lakes for outdoor recreation. Many community amenities like the Energy Wellness Center, Beulah Civic Center, and Beulah Senior Citizen Center allow for health maintenance services, recreational activities, exercise programs, transportation, and more.

Area healthcare facilities provide quality services with state-of-the-art equipment. Beulah’s Knife River Care Center is an 86-bed nursing facility in Beulah, North Dakota. Skilled personnel provides around-the-clock, quality care and rehabilitation services in a comfortable, friendly nursing home environment.

The Beulah Senior Citizen Center is located at 100 1st Street across the street from the Beulah Public Library. It is a wonderful place for Seniors to come and socialize with other Seniors. We have a meeting on the top floor on the first Wednesday of every month (except July) which begins with a catered free-will offering meal at 11:30 am followed by the meeting and bingo. There is a $2.00 charge for the bingo but the club adds $200 to the pot and we pay back 100%. Don’t worry about the stairs. We have a chairlift to help get you to the top floor for those who need it.

We play Pinochle every Monday and Thursday afternoons at 1:00 pm.

Thrift Store

We operate a wonderful thrift store with 3 floors of merchandise.

The basement is mostly clothing but also has bedding, glassware, and a miscellaneous room.

The top floor is our “Holiday Store” with many Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas items, with some specialty holiday items added during those specific times.

The Thrift Store accepts donations when space allows but occasionally has to reject donations for short periods to clear out stock. Every last Friday of the month is ½ price Friday! Stop on in for a visit today.
