Beulah residents eagerly await summer, drawn by the abundance of outdoor activities that thrive under the long, sunny days and short, warm nights. Once the sun returns, opportunities to enjoy the outdoors seem endless.
Lake Sakakawea
Lake Sakakawea is one of the largest man-made reservoirs in the nation. Connected to Beulah Bay, water enthusiasts can enjoy boating, fishing, swimming, water skiing, kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boarding. Also, there are beaches and coves for those wanting to sunbathe or find joy in watching water enthusiasts celebrate the bond between the sun and water.
Beulah Water Park
Beulah Water Park offers a lazy river, splash-ready fun, and slides that bring smiles to visitors of all ages. It’s perfect for your next family-day outing!
Golfers Unite
Beulah offers Black Sands Golf Course in Beulah, and proximity to Hazen Golf Course nearby. With residents and returning visitors anticipating summers in Beulah, it’s best to book your tee time as early as possible.
Wellness Awaits
Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate Beulah’s numerous parks and trails, whether hiking, biking or simply enjoying true nature. Riverside Park offers over 20 acres of landscape furnished with three separate playground areas, five picnic shelters, a frisbee golf course, and a series of loop roads, complete with restroom facilities. There are 10 other parks, smaller in size, equipped with playground equipment, benches, and a lush landscape for picnics. Some also have basketball courts and benches.
Community Events and Festivals
Whether watching a friendly game of basketball at one of the parks or attending a community event, Beulah offers a lively summer atmosphere. The most highly anticipated event is the Mercer County Fair which includes the Beulah Rodeo. Normally held around the 4th of July, the fair is now part of June’s event openings for the summer.
Beulah Blooms in June
The City of Beulah never waits for the first day of summer to start its summer fun in the sun! While this summer officially begins June 20, 2025, Summer in Beulah starts June 1st, annually offering a variety of outdoor activities.
For the children, there are a few 4-H Camps still open for registration. Some run from a couple of days to a full week. You can view the options here.
