Development Award — Silver Winner

Beulah, North Dakota – September 4, 2025.

The City of Beulah is proud to announce that its project, “Strategic Plan: Enabling a Thriving Community With Clean, Sustainable Natural Resources,” has been selected as a Silver Winner in the Best Use of Federal Resources category of the 2025 Excellence in Economic Development Awards, presented by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).

The Excellence in Economic Development Awards honor outstanding programs, strategies, and projects that make a powerful and lasting impact on communities ranging in geography, size, and resource base. With 26 categories spanning a variety of disciplines, winners are celebrated during the IEDC Annual Conference and across IEDC communication channels.

“This Silver Award is a testament to Beulah’s vision and dedication to sustainable progress,” said Granville “Beaver” Brinkman, Economic Development & Operations Director for the City of Beulah. “By leveraging federal support, our strategic plan is fostering a cleaner environment alongside economic vitality an outcome we’re proud to share with our residents and partners.”

Recognition underscores the significance of thoughtful resource management and community-centered planning. The IEDC Awards signal national recognition for local excellence in harnessing federal investment to promote long-term economic resilience.

Results will be formally acknowledged during the 2025 IEDC Annual Conference, scheduled for September 14–17 in Detroit, Michigan. Beulah looks forward to celebrating this achievement alongside economic development professionals from across the globe.
