Across North Dakota, women-owned businesses are shaping the economic future of our communities. Across the North Dakota prairie, women are launching and scaling small businesses that enrich local economies and strengthen the workforce. Yet despite their contributions, our data tells us women entrepreneurs continue to face systemic challenges, most notably access to capital, childcare barriers and connection. The North Dakota Women’s Business Center (NDWBC) exists to change that narrative by amplifying the economic voice of women through advocacy, education and community.
At the heart of NDWBC’s impact is its commitment to meeting women where they are, whether they’re ideating, preparing to scale or seeking clarity in financial decision‑making. In the most recent fiscal year, NDWBC served more than 1,200 clients statewide, connecting women to business coaching, trainings, intensives, certification support and statewide events that accelerate success.
