The National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA) has designated July as National Parks and Recreation Month. The Beulah Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is here to help you learn about all of the great ways you can celebrate and get connected through incredible parks and recreation locations and activities.
The Power of Parks and Rec Professionals
July also marks Parks and Recreation Professionals Day, celebrated on July 17th, 2026. These professionals work together to bring new programming and refreshed spaces to Beulah, such as the Pickleball Project, which will transform the basketball court at Central Park into a dedicated pickleball space. The Beulah CVB supported this project with a $5000 donation to the Beulah Park District. It’s this type of partnership and cooperation that continues to make Beulah a deeply connected community working for the good of all residents.
Beulah has nearly 20 parks, campgrounds and other facilities. Each offers unique amenities available to persons of all ages, with the following just a few examples of the possibilities made possible through the hard work of parks and rec professionals:
- Beulah Bay- Located on the south shore of Lake Sakakawea, it offers camping, boating, and water activities.
- Eagles Campground- Offers electrical camping on the shore of the Knife River.
- SK8TERS Skatepark- Beulah’s skatepark provides a safe environment for skating
- Central Park- NEW pickleball court coming soon!
- McKenzie Park- Beulah’s largest park, featuring a skate park, basketball court, tennis court, and Goldman Field
