Two Center-Stanton Public Schools students finished in the top 10 at the 2026 FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C., July 6-10.

Seventh grade students Natalie Erhardt and Lennon Hanson both earned a Gold standing in the Professional Presentation Level 1 STAR event. The duo qualified for the national conference winning a state championship at the North Dakota FCCLA State Conference held in Bismarck in April.

This was the first time Center-Stanton’s FCCLA chapter appeared at a national conference. Center-Stanton FCCLA advisor Renae Schmidt has had other Center-Stanton FCCLA students qualify for nationals before. Two years ago, Paisley Kitzmann, Ava Erhardt and Reagan Schmidt placed first in Food Innovations. Due to a schedule conflict, however, they were not able to attend Nationals.
