There might not be a lot of activity in January out in the fields, but winter is the time that farmers are busy with decision-making, as they look ahead to the upcoming planting and crop season.
To help local producers navigate choices and answer questions, a Crops Education Workshop will be held at the end of this month in Mercer County. Sponsored by the Mercer County branch of NDSU Extension Service, the all-day workshop will bring in a variety of experts and specialists focusing on different aspects of crop production.
“All of these topics I have included in this program are topics that producers have asked me about over the past year, so hopefully it is of interest to people,” Craig Askim, Mercer County NDSU Extension Agent, said.
